Flawless
Flawless, is how I could say about our overseas removal. Conroy's men came in, wrapped and packed our household, shipped it overseas, got it through quarantine and customs then trucked it to our home where they unpacked their truck and took it inside. All the time they were doing this they had a smile on their faces, and nothing was a problem. Any queries we had were answered quickly and we knew where we were at anytime with our belongings. They also shipped our car with no hassle. All in all, we were very happy to have them move our belongings overseas.
The goods (cabinet) arrived in good time and and in good condition. There was excellent contact maintained throughout the delivery process.
I paid extra money to purchase packing and unpacking services, and also purchased insurance which actually requires the moving company to do the packing and unpacking for me. When my shipment was delivered, the movers with Conroy said they do not do unpacking or reassembly of furniture. I had to call the moving company I'd employed in Canada, who confirmed that the Conroy movers were supposed to unpack and reassemble furniture, and remove all the boxes afterwards. The move coordinator with Conroy sorted out the miscommunication with the movers, who then arranged to have 2 of them stay behind to unpack. The movers were very nice, but they did not have any tools to reassemble my bedframe and tables, so I had to find my own tools to unpack so they could do the reassembly. They were not able to reassemble my bedframe. Furthermore, they left a lot of boxes behind unpacked, and said I could just call Conroy to remove the boxes when I was ready. When I contacted Conroy to remove the boxes today, they asked me to flatten the boxes for them! I've paid the extra thousands of dollars for unpacking services, I'm quite annoyed that they should ask me to do their job for them! I already spent a good half hour moving all the boxes down to my garage so they won't even have to go up and down the stairs. Plus nobody even apologized for not communicating better to the movers to bring tools and unpack, and not doing their job properly.
I did not choose Conroy, unfortunately your services came as part of Biddulphs services as the New Zealand shipping agent.
After our container arrived in NZ Wellington Port, our Move coordinator said that it would take no more than 10 to 15 working days to arrive at our delivery address.
I was informed that several of my items would need to go through biosceority check. which was arranged, I did how ever raise my concern on how the items would be repackaged after the check as I was worried about damages. Move coordinator assured that this proccess happens on a daily occurance and that the items would be correctly wrapped after the check. unfortunately this did not happen.
After clearing biosecurity checks, 5 days after arrival, Susan then informed me that it would take another 5 working days to be transported from Wellington to Christchurch. where Christchurch depot would then call me and arrange delivery, this proccess would take another 10 to 15 days. contradicting what the move coordinator had mentioned before.
I then recieved a call 7 working days later, asking if my items could be delivered on the day. unfortunately this was not possible as we where at work, but requested that I be given a day or 2 notice before delivery occured.
A few days past, I didnt recieve a call. eventually I took it upon myself to call the call center to check, lucky as the delivery was apparently scheduled for the next day.
Container arrived on time. but unfortunetly it was the correct container number, but inccorrect items loads. the truck and team had to return to the depot as they had no idea where my shipment items where. late that afternoon they arrived with a new container with my items in. With no phone call from the delivery supervisor or managers as to what actually happened and why the incorrect items were delivered and packed. Luckery everything was accounted for but the repackaging of the biosceurity checked item was terrible. it was rewraped with a single biosecurity tape with all box contents exposed and open to damages. there were several scratches on these items. but I have decided rather not to follow the proccess of claiming for damages as past histroy dealing with this company as been terrible.
Delighted
We were very pleasantly surprised that our container was ready to be delivered 4 days after arriving in New Zealand. We had a phone call from Conroy's on Tuesday and they had a slot to deliver the next day. The lorry arrived earlier than suggested it might which was a bonus for us. Kaleta, Kane and Ollie could not have been more efficient. They were pleasant, worked very hard and had the container unloaded quickly. They then set to and unwrapped all the bubble wrapped items. We were given the option of having all the boxes unpacked and the contents put on surfaces but we decided we would prefer to do that task ourselves. We were delighted with the service we received. The regular updates we received from the company with regard to the progress of the vessels transporting our container were also very good.

Amazing stress free highly recommend so helpful reliable
First of all, the response from Lynn, the customer service representative, was excellent. However, due to a system glitch, we received two incorrect arrival notification emails under Lynn's name. This significantly undermined our trust in your company until we actually received the package. Secondly, when I received a phone call regarding the delivery time on the day before, I kindly requested to postpone the delivery by just one hour due to a work commitment. However, I was bluntly refused and told that if this time didn't work, it would have to be next week. On the delivery day, the delivery didn't arrive even at the appointed time. When I called, I was told by someone arranging the driver that there was a delay due to an accident on the motorway (which turned out to be a lie, as the driver later honestly informed me that he was delayed in loading the items). Moreover, because of my confirmation call, the driver had to park illegally on the motorway, causing further delay. I was then assured that the delivery would arrive shortly, despite being two hours late, with the remark, "Are you happy!" This whole experience was extremely frustrating, resulting in me canceling work and wasting half a day.
